Seminar Program
Dates: 4-6 April 2008
Venue: Shangri-La Hotel
Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand
The growth of the global spa industry over the past five years has been breathtaking. When the first Turning Point seminar was held in 2003, few people attending the event had in-depth experience operating a spa business, and even fewer appreciated the industry¹s huge potential.
Many were faced with a steep learning curve and numerous challenges, a fact which prompted The Turning Point to begin offering high-level seminar programs aimed at providing owners, operators, consultants and others involved in the industry with the information needed to successfully run and expand their businesses.
Making a difference by addressing social and environmental issues
The industry has greatly matured over the past five years, and out of this maturity has grown a sense of responsibility. Because of the obvious link between human wellness and the health of the planet, it is important for those in the spa industry to not only understand social and environmental issues, but to also play a leading role in spreading awareness and championing responsible activism.
Those attending Spa Industry Seminar 2008 will learn practical ways to "green" their spas, develop social and environmental programs, incorporate sustainability systems, achieve green certification, and promote these aspects of their business to leverage their brands and enhance their bottom lines.
Spa Industry Seminar 2008 features an international line-up of expert speakers who are in step with, and influencing, industry trends. They are passionate and inspirational. Their insights are offered in the spirit of sharing, with the aim of ensuring a successful future for the rapidly evolving spa industry.
